Just stay calm :) And yes, they did put in a catheter -after i was already under anesthesia though, thank goodness! Its necessary for a long surgery like this unfortunately, but it really wasn't a big deal. Also, did they put a catheter in?rach_513https://www.blogger.com/profile/00379446393080821509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6802610015886800342.post-28791093757775647122013-11-13T20:45:25.515-05:002013-11-13T20:45:25.515-05:00Hi,

Also, they will help you to breath through your nose. I think this is not an issue for you to worry about. Good luck! I am having similar surgery in 3 weeks and I am extremely claustrophobic so I am more anxious about not being able to breathe than I am worried about the pain. Since you mentioned having tubes down both nostrils and major swelling in your mouth/face, was there a tube to help you breathe? I had two septoplasty surgeries in the past 2 years to fix my deviated septum but I'm still not able to breathe well through my nose, and I am SO afraid about not being able to breathe if my throat/mouth is so swollen. I just hope the doctor gives me some really good anxiety medicine in addition to the pain killers to get me through it. ;) In one of your later posts you also mentioned not being able to move your lips when you smile...were you able to open your mouth a little bit to breathe through your mouth? :-/Christienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6802610015886800342.post-57736385493911586862012-07-30T11:20:49.744-04:002012-07-30T11:20:49.744-04:00haha well it wasn't really open... i could sli...haha well it wasn't really open... i could slide in a skinny straw but that was it for a few days.Rebecca Mariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17782058592759987652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6802610015886800342.post-75010160990199219192012-07-30T10:45:49.068-04:002012-07-30T10:45:49.068-04:00You are so lucky that you could open your mouth!
